Navel of the World - Route Proposal.

Hell All, I'd like to submit for your evaluation, a route proposal to the Navel of the world.

If you have alternative suggestions, please use this thread for them.

Certainly makes access to the main N/S route to Safehold easy.

That's a good working, quick route.

For the Main Route I would suggest it going through the middle of the Lake. Like Flowers before the bridge, and after it a kingly road with statues, arch, pillars and stuff, like a roman one.

i like sandmans idea.
for the conection to the deed itself i would say to make a single tile wide road, as the deed is 11x11, maybe 10 or 15 tiles long and then start the 45° pasage and place a guardtower and a place for horses in his corner.

Just to put a fly in the ointment.

Would another possible route be to travel W to the small lake, construct a bridge across to where there is already a tiled road up to near the tar pit (visible on map). From there, I have already constructed a road N towards the coast and to connect W to the main highway would take a very short time.

As I have already said, I like the first proposal but this second may speed up the linking process and allow folks more time to prettify the area around the new community deed.

Up to others now to put in their tuppence. :D

For the time being I've created a pig path so that people can find the site. It starts at the road east of Duskdale. There are a ton of felled trees along it. If anyone would like to start chopping them into logs and hauling them to the site that would be great. Debbie has made some storage for them sorted by quality.

Me and Lark are also working on a 1 tile wide path from the Rockmead portal. We'll either have it intersect the existing road to the north of Navel or swing it down between the two tar pits directly to Navel. This should allow quicker access to those folks coming from more remote locations.

The road is paved along the propposed route from eastof Duskdale to the unnamed lake.
The area around the navel is being leveled out and there is storage on site.

I have been considering this project as being 2 phases. Phase 1 is the road itself, and phase 2 is the event location.

I'd place phase 1 at about 60% as there is a lot of leveling / smoothing of the road needed.
and i'd place phase 2 at maybe 5%.
